Stories

Business History A scam, a pyramid scheme, a startup that never launched, and what came after.

Before Ronnie Technologies there were several attempts. Some failed, one never started, and each one taught him something about what he did and didn't want to build.

  1. Dropshipping

He had just finished secondary school when he tried dropshipping. He was scammed out of more than ₦100,000. It was an expensive first lesson.

  2. Trading

He locked in on trading. Since then he has secured multiple payouts, and he keeps securing them.

  3. Affiliate marketing

He sold to five people, then quit. The business couldn't scale, it was never going to make him rich, and it worked more like a pyramid scheme than a real company.

  4. A first startup

He tried to start a company. It failed before it even launched.

  5. A school business

He started a small business at school for one reason: to actually be an entrepreneur instead of only planning to be one. It served more than 160 customers before the school break.

  6. AIMS

He started building his first product, AIMS, under his company Ronnie Technologies.

Every attempt before AIMS ended. None of them stopped him from trying the next one.
